Activities were really “revin” at the Innovative Health and Fitness 1st Annual Classic Car Show benefit for Generations Against Bullying.
Hundreds of people came to see the classic cars on display, compete in fitness challenges, zumba, enjoy camaraderie and conversation, and learn about a unique anti-bully organization headquartered in the Milwaukee area.
Generations Against Bullying is truly grateful for the effort that Innovative put forth to make this event a huge success.
Innovative General Manager, Lisa Manz and Marketing Manager, Nicole Lepke presented James Dean, VP, Generations Against Bullying with a $1500.00 check. This money will be used to help fund the various outreach programs created by Generations Against Bullying.
Fun… without any fear of hate or bullying
I attended the Zumba fundraiser event for GAB. I showed up expecting to sit at a booth and sign people in. But I couldn’t have been more wrong. I and the other peer ambassadors were asked to go up in the front line with the instructors of the Zumba dance moves. We then danced along side them. I can’t dance! I didn’t want to do this at all but I did. This event was more than a fundraiser… it allowed for the peer ambassadors, like me and some others, to really push themselves out of a corner and get some more self confidence. You can do anything, it doesn’t matter how bad you may be at doing it as long as you have fun while doing it! If people hate on you or make fun of them then shame on them. If their form of “fun” involves bullying then it isn’t fun at all it is cruel. After the event, I and the other peer ambassadors then bonded more that night by attending a movie together and some of us even attended two. GAB has brought us all together no matter what “group” or “click” we’re in, it doesn’t matter anymore. We have fun together without any fear of hate or bullying and that’s all that matters. That day was so much fun! I can’t wait till our next Zumba event!

More people know to spread the word.
We went to Innovative Fitness. This event consisted of activities such as Zumba and looking at cars. This event took place on 8/11/15. I was with fellow new Peer Ambassadors and upper classmen. We sold tickets to support Generations Against Bullying. We also met new people and talked about what we were about, so that we could spread our cause. Not only did we do that but we also learned about other foundations.
I enjoyed my first real community service event with Generations Against Bullying. It felt great to help this group that I am very excited to join.
Our goal is to prevent bullying. We try to spread the different stories of others so they can understand what the outcome of bullying can be. After this event more and more people know to spread the word.
