Girl Scout Troop 2042 Earns GAB Upstander Patch.
October 21, 2018 | Girl Scout Troop 2042 Meeting
Generations Against Bullying, James Dean was invited by Girl Scout Troop 2042 leader Del Tann to present information about bullying to her monthly troop meeting. The topic of bullying was one that her Girl Scouts had requested to have more information about.
What a delightful group of Girl Scouts! They were willing participants in the various activities that James had planned for them. They learned the terms “bystander”, “upstander” and how important it is to have the courage to be an upstander when they witness bullying. With today’s accomplishments the girls satisfied the requirements needed to earn the Girl Scout Upstander Patch that GAB has developed in partnership with the Girl Scout Organization and they all received their patch. These young women displayed the character that will help them become future leaders.
Thank you for your hospitality Troop 2042–you made the day a lot of fun.
Special thanks to Ponyville for their donation to GAB
that helps support our outreach programs.
