Henderson’s Ride For Hope Was Fun For All
On June 17, 2017 over 200 riders took part in Henderson’s ride For Hope to benefit Generations Against Bullying (GAB). Riders left Coal Dock Park on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in Port Washington, WI escorted by Packer Super Bowl Champs William Henderson, and Dorsey Levens, and Packer Tony Fisher on bike loops of 5 miles, 25 miles and 60 miles.
William is a GAB board member and was bullied when he was young. He wanted to help GAB raise funds for their very unique and positive approach to end the bullying epidemic.
It was a beautiful, perfect, day for a bike ride and everyone enjoyed the Sprecher Brewery Beer Garden, food court, children’s play area and the opportunity to meet the Packers and obtain an autograph. Music groups Soul Survivors, Limited Edition and Generation Z entertained the crowd throughout the day.
GAB received $2000.00 from this event, which will go directly into our Upstander Programs.
Thank you to all who attended and helped make this day a great success.
