Generations Against Bullying (GAB) held their second annual fundraiser April 24, 2016 at the Discovery World Pilot House on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan.

What a powerful event!

GAB is a non-political and non-religious organization that welcomes bi-partisan support and appreciates anyone willing to help in its efforts. At the annual fundraiser, special guests and guest speakers included:

Wisconsin’s First Lady and GAB Board Member, Tonette Walker and her husband, Governor Scott Walker, GAB Board Member and domestic violence survivor Teri Jendusa-Nicolai, GAB’s Peer Ambassa-dog Sadie, and GAB Peer Ambassadors.

Among a fun and successful raffle and silent auction, the event was filled with inspirational stories from survivors, influential and prideful stories from GAB’s Peer Ambassadors, a heart-felt movie premiere of the story of GAB’s Peer Ambassa-dog Sadie and her connection to bullying, and of course, delicious food and drinks!

Special guests speakers were Wisconsin’s First Lady, Tonette Walker, (a GAB Board member) and her husband, Governor Scott Walker.

GAB board member Teri Jendusa-Nicolai, told her horrifying story of almost being murdered by her ex-husband, and how that experience has helped her deliver a message of hope and perseverance to thousands of children who may be being bullied.

GAB’s Peer Ambassadors spoke about their pivotal role to put the power to stop bullying back into the hands of the students by being upstanders.

Sadie, GAB’s Peer Ambassa-dog, made a cameo appearance, as the audience viewed the world-wide premier of Sadie’s movie. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who attended and our GAB volunteers who helped make this a successful event.
