ABOUT COMMUNITY MOVIE NIGHTS
By now you know how severe a problem bullying has become. Bullying is stealing the spirit, confidence, creativity and the lives of our youth. Amazingly, it is something we can put an end to with education and community involvement.
Many communities have enjoyed bringing families together for GAB’s Community Movie Night for an honest, eye-opening look at how bullying is destroying so many kids and how easy it is for all of us to become “Upstanders” and make a real difference in a child’s life and in our community.
“The GAB Community Movie Night Event is a memorable event combining the presentation of a powerful movie with an inspirational speaker, both bringing awareness to the bullying epidemic, sparking life-changing conversations, and cultivating a sense of community.”
“BULLY”
GAB has created a riveting, thought-provoking movie, combining the best of the award-winning documentary “Bully” by Lee Hirsh and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 follow-up on “The Bully Project”. This 52-minute powerful video is eye-opening about the bullying epidemic and vividly uncovers its devastating consequences.
The movie touches the hearts of the victims and helps them to understand that they are not alone in this struggle. It breaks down many barriers and opens the minds of all attendees to this powerful and crucial message.
Bonus Feature:
“The Bully Effect”
Also included is a special bonus footage from “The Bully Effect” as featured on Anderson Cooper’s CNN documentary.
“I just wanted to thank you for putting on the Kenosha Movie Night. I attended it with my daughter and on the way home she broke down crying and we had a healthy conversation about bullying. I knew she was being bullied however I was blinded and had no idea of the depth. Thank you for opening my eyes as a parent and giving her a platform to speak up about her experiences instead of holding them in and making a bad decision.”
