She has reached over 14,000 people through personal and social media campaigns advocating for her platform. Last year, Ava developed her personal initiative, “Ava’s Toy Box,” where she collects new toys all year and then distributes them to local families. Ava has had the chance to bless several families already and plans to expand the program throughout the state of Virginia. Ava enjoys doing commercials, competing in pageants, and spending time with her family. Ava is very excited about this year and representing the District of Columbia at USA National Miss in Disney! She has big plans for the organization’s national initiative Crown C.A.R.E.S (Creating A Respectful Environment in Schools), as well as her own service projects with toy donations and distribution.

Ava Raiford will showcase all of her skills and accolades at the USA National Miss national pageant from November 22 – November 28 at Disney World in Orlando, FL. The USA National Miss Organization promotes their national advocacy of Crown C.A.R.E.S (Creating A Respectable Environment in Schools) to eliminate bullying and encourage kindness within classrooms. Ava will proudly represent the District of Columbia at UNM, hoping to capture the prestigious Jr Teen title amongst all 50 states.
