CRISTO REY DONATION FROM STUDENTS

 November 6 2019

Thank you, Yesenia Gomez and the Student Council students from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School who choose to help raise $443.00 for Generations Against Bullying (GAB).   Yesenia stated on behalf of the Student Council, “we loved reading about your mission, and we wanted to give back to our community in this way.  We love what you do and would love for you to work with us.”

This is exactly what creating Upstanders is all about! We are grateful for the amazing Upstanders at Cristo Rey Student Council for having a fundraiser for anti-bullying. These dedicated students help define the meaning of Upstanders by wanting to end bullying in our schools and communities. Linda Lee and Emmanuel presented the students an Upstander T-shirt donated by Martha Sanchez Hernandez of the Pure Golden Botanicals CBD store.   We explained to the students about how important it is to be an Upstander in their school and how the students have the true power to stop the bullying because, bullying occurs in front of them and not the administrators, teachers or counselors.  By being an Upstander the students can truly change the culture of learning in their school and make their school a safer and happier place.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in West Milwaukee WI, offers a college preparatory education with professional work experience through the Corporate Work Study Program for families with limited economic resources.

Special thanks to Ponyville and Whinny City for their donation to GAB that helps support our outreach programs.
