GAB had a wonderful evening at the Texarkana Munincipal Auditorium, the birthplace of Rock-n-Roll. Tonight’s dinner was the preliminary event for the concert by Blue October’s Justin Furstenfeld as the lead-in to panel discussions about bullying to take place tomorrow. The dinner was preceded by the premier viewing of Justin’s powerful movie biography “Get Back Up”.
Tomorrow’s GABLIFE2020 event will be a live concert by Justin, followed by panel discussions concerning bullying. The panels will include a variety of experts across a broad variety of professionals. Those participating are Nick Ross, First Assistant District Attorney, Cass County; Billy Eldridge, Child Psychologist; Cody Sartor, Digital Forensic Expert; Randy Thompson, Addiction and Substance Abuse Therapist; Rick Cockrell, Law Enforcement; Byron Williams, Owner BW Sports; Norry Niven, Director, “Get Back Up”. The GABLIFE2020 Event will be an event to introduce to the Texarkana area the GAB Peer Ambassador Upstander Program and it’s emphasis of putting the power to stop bullying into the hands of the students where the bullying is occurring. Thank you to Naaman’s BBQ for the great dinner.
